These are native plants that are typically found in other parts of Virginia or North America. It's important to stick with local ecotypes but sometimes our properties may have non-native conditions that don't support what we would locally find. Sometimes gardeners are looking for a certain esthetic that may not be found locally, or want to add more nectar sources for pollinators.
